Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration

Congratulations on your acceptance to Virginia Tech for Spring 2027! We’re excited to work with you during Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration this summer.

Your transition is made up of two experiences, virtual orientation through New Student and Family Programs & advising and course registration with your academic college.

Course registration will begin December 7, in preparation for completing pre-registration checks found in this tutorial it will require a local address to progress through the registration pre-checks therefore please work to have this information available as soon as possible. You will be receiving communication to your VT Email account in early December. In the meantime, visit your college's orientation page below and the Academic Advising and Course Registration FAQs page.
